Before the torch
Timothy Herndon came up as a CNC machinist. That discipline — toolpaths, tolerances, engraved linework — is the part of Opinicus glass you can feel even if you never saw the mill. The work looks too precise to be accident.

Opinicus 9 is a San Diego name. Lampwork, silver and gold fume, sandblast and etched coldwork on borosilicate. The public record shows shredder tubes, tentacle jammers, Peak/Proxy attachments, and one-of-one collabs.
Two-man crew
The Instagram and GlassPass bios put it plainly: a father-and-son business, a two-man wrecking crew. Shop-floor, not a brand office.
Coldwork
Public collabs — including RawlinsGlass pieces — credit Opinicus 9 with designed, cut, and applied coldwork: sandblast, then flame-polished detail. That is the machinist again, writing on glass.
